Viola Adunca 2

This North American native viola was first documented by the Lewis and Clarke expedition, on their travel through the western states. This beaded piece has two large dark purple viola flowers with tiny beaded white hairs marking the center of the flower, and one bud seemly ready to open. The piece is set in rock and sand from Ruby Lake, Montana, near the area where the actual viola is found. This piece measures 5 1/2 inches tall.
